            "content_html": "<p>A proposal can now carry more than one payment schedule, so the deposit and the stage split can differ depending on which finance option your customer picks. Contacts hold as many addresses as you need, each with its own map pin. The <strong>Hardware Catalogue</strong> has been rebuilt underneath: two people can work in it at the same time without overwriting each other, and deleting or archiving anything now tells you what it is used in before it goes. Two fixes are worth knowing about: the <strong>Savings</strong> step in the <strong>Heat Pump Quote Tool</strong> could fail for your customer on some accounts, and turning off a package price override did not put the calculated price back.</p>\n<h2 class=\"anchor anchorTargetStickyNavbar_Vzrq\" id=\"new\">New<a href=\"https://docs.simplified.energy/changelog/2026/09/01/payment-schedules-per-finance-option#new\" class=\"hash-link\" aria-label=\"Direct link to New\" title=\"Direct link to New\" translate=\"no\">​</a></h2>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>A payment schedule for each finance option.</strong> <strong>Manage payment schedules</strong> on a proposal is now a list rather than a single schedule. <strong>Add payment schedule</strong> creates another, tied to one finance option, with its own deposit and stages. The <strong>Applies to</strong> column shows which finance option each covers, or <strong>Default</strong> for the one used by cash and by any finance option without a schedule of its own. Every schedule needs a name, which only you see. Your existing schedule carries over as the default, named <strong>My Payment Schedule</strong>, with its stages unchanged.</li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Your customer's finance choice picks the schedule.</strong> Choosing a finance option on the proposal switches the payment stages they see; choosing one with no schedule of its own falls back to the default. Where <strong>Use deposit from payment schedule</strong> is turned on, the deposit taken at acceptance — including the amount charged through Stripe — follows the same schedule, as does the proposal PDF. Remove a finance option that had its own schedule and that schedule stays in the list, flagged in amber as <strong>Unknown finance option</strong>, because nothing can reach it any more.</li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Several addresses on a contact.</strong> Open a contact, click <strong>Edit Details</strong>, and an <strong>Addresses</strong> section lets you add as many as you need. Each one can be a postcode lookup or typed in by hand. <strong>Set as primary</strong> marks the one shown on the contact card, and removing the primary promotes another so a contact with addresses always has one. See <a class=\"\" href=\"https://docs.simplified.energy/day-to-day/contacts\">Contacts</a>.</li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>An exact pin on any address.</strong> <strong>Set pin</strong> opens a map you drag until the marker sits over the property, which is worth doing where the postcode lands on the wrong side of a lane or a large site. A pin shows as a small map on the address, and <strong>Remove pin</strong> clears it without touching the address.</li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>A handbook to go with this changelog.</strong> The pages describing how to set your account up and run it day to day are now published alongside these release notes. What you have searched and filtered is held in the address bar, so a filtered view can be bookmarked or sent to a colleague.</li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Export to CSV covers everything you have filtered to,</strong> not just the page on screen. With no filters applied you get the whole catalogue. The confirmation says which of the two you are about to get.</li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Deleting or archiving shows you the damage first.</strong> Removing a product, package, extra, finance option or pricing model that is used elsewhere opens a table of what it is used in and what will happen to each. Where the changes are safe, <strong>Continue</strong> applies them and unlinks the references. Where they are not — the last panel on a published package, or the last package on a quote tool — there is no <strong>Continue</strong>, and the reason is listed so you can fix it first.</li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Quotes and proposals use the same address card as contacts.</strong> Setting the address and the pin on a quote or a proposal recipient now looks and behaves the same as it does on a contact, and the bin clears the address and its pin together.</li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Midsummer price sync moved to its connector.</strong> The automatic price synchronisation toggle now sits with your Midsummer Wholesale login under <strong>Connectors</strong>, rather than on the <strong>Hardware Catalogue</strong> page. Syncing itself is unchanged.</li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Three labels now match the rest of the product.</strong> The <strong>Web Apps</strong> card, the app list when you add a custom URL, and the configuration page heading all say <strong>Proposals App</strong>, matching the sidebar. The Extras picker says <strong>Pick from your Extras</strong>. The <strong>Customer-Facing Email Settings</strong> toggle has its missing apostrophe: <strong>Use team members' own email address by default</strong>.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2 class=\"anchor anchorTargetStickyNavbar_Vzrq\" id=\"fixed\">Fixed<a href=\"https://docs.simplified.energy/changelog/2026/09/01/payment-schedules-per-finance-option#fixed\" class=\"hash-link\" aria-label=\"Direct link to Fixed\" title=\"Direct link to Fixed\" translate=\"no\">​</a></h2>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>The Savings step no longer fails on some heat pump quotes.</strong> Where an electricity tariff had been saved through the portal since the interface was rebuilt, its standing charge and unit rate were stored as text rather than as numbers, and your customer met an error when they reached <strong>Savings</strong> in the <strong>Heat Pump Quote Tool</strong>. Tariffs save as numbers again, and the savings calculation copes with a tariff stored either way.</li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Turning off an override price reverts to the calculated price.</strong> Clearing <strong>Override price</strong> on a package in the quote editor left <strong>Override price amount (£)</strong> behind, so the package kept its overridden price after you saved. Turning the toggle off now clears the amount, and a quote still carrying an amount from before ignores it.</li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Two people can work in the Hardware Catalogue at once.</strong> Saving a single product used to save the whole catalogue as it looked when you opened the page, so if a colleague had it open and saved after you, their copy replaced your changes. Each product is now stored and saved on its own, and only the product you edited is written.</li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Package checkboxes stay ticked when you create a proposal from a quote.</strong> Under <strong>Connections</strong> on a quote, <strong>Create proposal</strong> opened a window where ticking a package cleared it again immediately, so you could not get as far as creating anything. They stay ticked.</li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Number fields no longer reformat while you type.</strong> In fields that display two decimal places, typing <code>9</code> jumped straight to <code>9.00</code> and moved the cursor, which made an APR or a unit rate close to impossible to enter. Your typing is now left alone until you leave the field, and formatting is applied then. This affects finance option APR and interest rates, <strong>Commercial Solar Quote Tool</strong> defaults, heat pump savings assumptions, Extras pricing, and the unit rate and standing charge your customers enter in the <strong>Solar Quote Tool</strong>.</li>\n</ul>",

This works on roofs, obstructions, and multi-selections, and a roof moves together with its panels and obstructions. Arrow keys do nothing while you are mid-draw. With a single panel selected, arrow keys still add a neighbouring panel as before.</li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>A prompt to fill a roof you have just drawn.</strong> Finish drawing and you are asked whether to auto-fill it with panels. Text fields, dropdowns, checkboxes, buttons, address lookups and almost every popup have been rebuilt to one consistent design, across the quote tools your customers use, the proposal editor, the <strong>Installer Portal</strong>, and the forms your customers complete when they accept. Nothing has moved in the sidebar, and quoting, pricing and CRM behaviour are unchanged. Two things do change underneath the new look: your team can send proposal and quote emails from their own address, and OpenSolar imports no longer arrive without roofs.</p>\n<h2 class=\"anchor anchorTargetStickyNavbar_Vzrq\" id=\"new\">New<a href=\"https://docs.simplified.energy/changelog/2026/08/25/refreshed-interface-and-team-member-from-addresses#new\" class=\"hash-link\" aria-label=\"Direct link to New\" title=\"Direct link to New\" translate=\"no\">​</a></h2>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Send proposal and quote emails from a team member's own address.</strong> Turn on <strong>Allow team to use their own from address</strong> under <strong>Customer-Facing Email Settings</strong>, on the <strong>Email</strong> page in <strong>Settings</strong>. A <strong>From</strong> box then appears when you compose a proposal or instant quote email, offering your company address or the address on the sender's <strong>Team Profiles</strong> entry. It is off to start with. Leave it off and every email keeps sending from your company address as it does today.</li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Start the compose form on the team member's address.</strong> With the above on, <strong>Use team members' own email address by default</strong> preselects the sender's own address instead of the company one. They can still switch back before sending.</li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Only verified sending domains can be used.</strong> A team member's address is offered only when its domain is a sending domain verified on your account, so a personal address such as Gmail stays greyed out.
