Proposals for designs with more than one heat pump

Heat pump proposals built from a Spruce Eco survey now handle designs that use more than one heat pump, or more than one cylinder. The room-by-room emitter comparison is more complete too: a room surveyed as several linked parts is treated as one room, and rooms you are not changing can be shown on request.

New​

  • Every heat pump in the design gets its own card in the system design section, numbered when there is more than one. Each carries its own capacity, SCOP, flow temperature, refrigerant, model number, sound power, dimensions, and MCS certificate numbers. The hot water section does the same for each cylinder.
  • Show rooms with no changes. A toggle under the room-by-room breakdown reveals the rooms whose emitters are all being retained. They stay hidden until asked for, so the rooms that are changing stay easy to read.

Improved​

  • Equipment location plans follow the design. Every floor holding equipment gets a plan, titled by what sits on it — heat pump, cylinder, or both — rather than one plan for the heat pump and one for the cylinder.

Fixed​

  • A room surveyed as several linked parts keeps all its radiators. Open-plan spaces recorded in parts are combined into a single room, so the emitters and heat loss of every part are counted together instead of some being left out of the comparison.
  • The pipework toggle only appears when there is pipework to show. Equipment sitting on the floor plan no longer counts as pipework.
