A restyled return on investment chart, and redrawn energy flow diagrams

The Return on investment step of the Commercial Solar Quote Tool now looks like the savings charts either side of it, and reads in calendar years rather than years from now. The energy flow diagrams that show electricity moving between grid, solar, battery, and building have been redrawn to match.

Improved​

  • The return on investment chart matches the bill comparison chart — same line style, colours, and tooltip.
  • The energy flow diagrams have been redrawn. Electricity travels in straight lines between grid, solar, battery, and building, on new artwork for both the house and the industrial building, in the colours used by the energy charts.

Fixed​

  • Return on investment years read as calendar years and line up with the bill comparison chart.
  • Break-even in the first year now appears on the chart for cash purchases. It used to fall outside the plotted range.
  • The fixed tooltip in the Before solar diagram no longer sits over the flow from grid to building.
