June 2026
June changed how you get around and how heat pump work reads. The Installer Portal and the Customer Portal both have new navigation, Theme now sets one set of colours and corner radii for every app instead of a different set per screen, and quotes and proposals can carry labels. Heat pumps got the deepest work: running-cost savings cover oil, LPG and electric heating, and an imported Spruce Eco survey builds a redrawn technical section of a proposal.
note
Compiled retrospectively from the changes released this month. It covers the most significant changes rather than everything.
Quote Tools
- Savings for oil, LPG and electric heating, not only gas. The Savings tab of each Heat Pump Quote Tool now carries unit prices, standing and tank hire charges, existing appliance efficiencies and typical annual usage by bedroom count for every fuel, plus the SCOP to fall back on when the chosen heat pump has no efficiency figure of its own. The savings your customer sees start from those figures, and no longer count an electricity standing charge they are already paying.
- Call it something other than a quote. Set a noun on a quote tool's Content tab — estimate, plan, or whatever you use — and it replaces the word "quote" throughout the tool your customer uses, on the PDF and in the quote emails. You can also change it on a single quote from the quote editor.
- Steadier air con and boiler picking. Air con jobs with several indoor units now settle on outdoor units that have enough connections for them, instead of grinding on through combinations, and a sunnier room raises its cooling load rather than lowering it. On boilers, combi sizing works from a target hot water flow rate per bathroom count that you set yourself, and the occupants question is hidden when the new boiler is a combi.
Proposals
- A redrawn technical section from a Spruce Eco survey. The summary, heating system changes, MCS 031 performance estimates, sound assessment and hot water performance sections have all been redesigned, and heat loss by floor now draws the property's floor plans room by room. Current radiator performance at the proposed flow temperature, running costs against the existing heating, and the proposed system design with its sizing and performance are new.
Service Plans
- Your customer cancels from the plan itself. A service plan agreement now has a Cancellation section that ends the plan at the end of the current billing period, or at the end of the minimum term where one is still running, and tells your customer the date it will stop. Cancelling directly in the Stripe billing portal is no longer possible, so minimum terms hold.
Day to day
- New navigation in the Installer Portal. The sidebar groups your screens under Dashboard, Sales Pipeline, After Care, Contacts, Apps & Embed and Settings, with each quote tool's quotes nested under Instant Quotes and its configuration under Settings then Web Apps. General Theme is now Theme, Profiles is Team Profiles, and hardware, Extras, pricing and finance sit together under Packages & Pricing.
- Labels on quotes and proposals. Create your own coloured labels under Settings then Labels, keeping separate sets for quotes and for proposals. Apply them to one or many records from the listings, where they show on each row and can be filtered on.
Account and billing
- One set of colours and corner radii for every app. Theme now has a single Web apps section covering your primary colour, background, banners, cards, dashed cards and sidebars, in place of the separate colours it used to keep for the lead-in, main and post-capture screens of a quote tool. You can also choose how rounded buttons, text inputs, selects, text areas, cards and sidebars are.
