Set how boiler packages are sized

You now decide how the Boiler Quote Tool sizes the packages it builds. System and regular boilers are set up separately from combi boilers, and each can be sized as a percentage of the property's heat loss or from a table of heat loss bands. Hot water flow requirements for combi packages are unchanged and still apply on top of the heating sizing.

New

  • Separate sizing for system and regular boilers and for combi boilers, on the Defaults tab of your Boiler Quote Tool settings. Each has its own Boiler sizing logic choice of Basic or Lookup table.
  • Basic takes a Heat loss to nominal sizing factor (%). A boiler qualifies when its nominal output is at least the property's heat loss multiplied by that percentage.
  • Lookup table takes heat loss bands and the minimum nominal output each band requires. Use it to hold a floor under smaller properties rather than scaling every size with heat loss.
  • A worked example sits under each setting and restates it in kW as you edit, so you can see what a given heat loss would demand before you leave the screen.
