May 2026

May shortened two things that had grown long: the boiler journey your customer walks through, and the amount of hand-work in a proposal. Boiler quotes now cover the current and the new boiler in one step each, wizard imports can land in a proposal you are already editing, and the CRM connectors stopped raising records for people who have only picked a package.

note

Compiled retrospectively from the changes released this month. It covers the most significant changes rather than everything.

Quote Tools

  • Fewer steps in the Boiler Quote Tool. Your customer describes their current boiler in one step and their new one in another, in place of the old Current setup, Like for like, Existing location, New setup and New location steps. Where the boiler sits and how the flue is routed are asked inside those two steps, and each location and flue option shows the difference it makes to the price, worked out from your Pricing Model.
  • Charge the base grant on oil and LPG properties. Heat pump quotes add £1,500 to the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant when the property runs on oil or LPG. Switch on Hide Oil/LPG BUS uplift in instant quote on the Heat Pump Quote Tool's Defaults and those properties use the base grant instead, both in the price and in what your customer reads.

Proposals

  • Import from a wizard without starting a new proposal. In a proposal you are already editing, choose Add block, then Wizards, and bring in an Easy PV project, an OpenSolar project or an instant quote at the point you are working. Battery instant quotes can now be imported as well, and where the quote records an existing solar setup, that comes across with it.
  • See where content came from, and pull it in again. Connections lists what a proposal was built from and lets you re-import any of them when the source has moved on. Individual blocks carry their connection too, so you can tell which import produced a block before you change it.
  • Fixed amounts and finance in the payment schedule. A stage can be a Fixed amount rather than a percentage, with the percentage stages then calculated from the balance that is left, and Finance joins card and bank transfer as a payment method. Turn on Use deposit from payment schedule on the acceptance step and the amount you charge at acceptance follows the deposit stage instead of being set twice.
  • Defaults for new proposals. Proposals App then Defaults takes a default proposal template, and for each wizard lets you choose which content blocks it inserts and which of them appear in the contents list.

Integrations

  • Name your deals and opportunities yourself. HubSpot's Deal Name Template and GoHighLevel's Opportunity Name Template build the name from tokens such as {{leadName}}, {{quoteType}}, {{quotePrice}} and {{postcode}}, set separately for each quote tool. HubSpot contacts now also carry town, county and postcode as their own fields, and changes to a contact's details are sent across.
  • Picking a package no longer raises a CRM record. Zoho, GoHighLevel and HubSpot sync when a quote is completed or saved, or when your customer asks for help, so someone who clicks a package and leaves no longer lands in your pipeline.

Day to day

  • Video explainers in the Installer Portal. A Video explainers button opens a panel of short walkthroughs covering the portal, Hardware Catalogue and Hardware Packages, subdomains, email setup, Pricing Models, proposals and templates, the Easy PV and OpenSolar wizards, and the GoHighLevel and HubSpot connectors.
