Rebuilt notification emails for quotes, proposals and service plans

The emails your team receives when a quote, proposal, or service plan agreement moves have been rebuilt. Details are grouped into labelled sections, fields with nothing in them are left out rather than printed as "Not provided", and quote notifications now say whether the quote was built by your customer or by someone in the Installer Portal. Nothing your customers receive has changed.

New

  • Sectioned notification emails. A quote notification now separates Quote Information from Contact Information, Acceptance (survey or callback, and deposit), and any Optional Message your customer left. Proposal notifications carry Proposal Information, contact, and message; service plan notifications carry Service Agreement Information and contact. A section only appears when there is something to put in it. These go to your notification address, and to anyone following that quote or proposal.
  • Quote notifications say where the quote came from. An App line tells you whether your customer built it themselves or someone on your team created it in the Installer Portal. The property address is on the notification too.
  • Wizards has its own page. Under Proposals App, wizard settings move out of Defaults onto a Wizards tab, with a tab each for EasyPV, OpenSolar and Spruce Eco and one per instant quote type. Each now has its own default proposal template, its own control over which sections appear in the contents list, and fixed line items you can have it add every time it builds a proposal.
  • Start a quote or proposal from a contact. From a contact in Contacts, create a quote or a proposal and it opens already linked to that contact, so you do not have to attach it afterwards.
  • Customise the air con layout on a quote. Open an air con quote in the Installer Portal and change which indoor and outdoor units the package uses, on a diagram that checks your choices against each room's cooling load. You can override the price at the same time. Rooms and outdoor unit locations are still changed on the Rooms step.
  • Commercial solar is available to every account. Turn it on under Features on your account — it is no longer held behind a switch on our side. You can also point the Commercial Solar Quote Tool at your own web address, and choose whether commercial solar quotes appear in your Customer Portal.

Improved

  • Contact details stop going missing from notifications. The name, email, and phone number previously came only from a saved contact record, so a quote from someone new arrived with them blank. They now fall back to what your customer typed into the quote.
  • Webhook events carry more. Quote events now include which app created the quote, and every event type in the Webhooks Portal, reached from Connectors, now has a description and an example payload to build against.
  • Product cards in proposals are more compact and pick up a manufacturer logo automatically where we hold one.
  • Your business name in the Customer Portal sidebar. It comes from Business Details, falling back to the name set for email. The "Customer" label under your customer's own name has gone.
  • Grants on heat pump proposals imported from Spruce Eco. An eligible job now produces a single grant card carrying the right scheme — Boiler Upgrade Scheme, or the Home Energy Scotland equivalent for a Scottish property — and the value taken from the survey. The separate grant eligibility section has gone. Proposals from a survey can also include a product highlights section for the heat pump and cylinder, with images and specifications.
  • Products no longer have a Tags field. It has been removed from the Hardware Catalogue.
