April 2026

April joined quotes and proposals up. A solar, heat pump, boiler or air con quote becomes a proposal from the quote itself and brings blocks built from that quote with it, and proposals also learned to stage payments, total themselves up at the end and be reordered by dragging. The listings you work from filter harder — several statuses at once on Instant Quotes and Proposals, and by quote tool on your catalogue and packages — and Promo Codes are Discount Codes throughout, including the box your customer types into.

note

Compiled retrospectively from the changes released this month. It covers the most significant changes rather than everything.

Quote Tools

  • The Boiler Quote Tool asks where the boiler is now, every time. Your customer gives the existing boiler's location and flue before saying whether they want like for like, rather than only after. The step is skipped when the boiler is already outside, or is a back boiler — and you can now offer Back Boiler as a boiler type on the Defaults screen. No back boiler packages are priced, but the answer is captured on the quote.
  • A way through when you do not offer the setup your customer wants. If the boiler type, fuel and mounting they ask for is not covered by any of your packages, they see the combination they chose and a short form to request help instead of a dead end. Quoting on their behalf, you see the same combination and a prompt to add a boiler hardware package for it.
  • Run a quote tool as a kiosk. Add ?kioskMode=true to any quote tool address and the tool watches for inactivity: after twenty seconds it asks whether your customer is still there, counts down for thirty, then clears the screen and starts a fresh quote. Useful on a tablet in a showroom or on a stand.

Proposals

  • Build a proposal from an instant quote without leaving the quote. Create proposal sits on every row of Instant Quotes and on the quote's Connections tab, so you no longer have to start from Proposals and search for the quote. Boiler and air con quotes are covered as well as solar and heat pump, and each brings its own blocks — Boiler information sets out the current and the new boiler setup, Air con rooms lists the rooms quoted and Air con system design shows the indoor and outdoor unit layout. The proposal is listed on the quote's Connections tab afterwards, so you can get back to either from the other.
  • Stage the payments, and finish on a single price. Manage payment schedule in the editor splits the total into stages, each with a heading, a description, a percentage of the total and whether it can be paid by card or bank transfer. The Payment schedule block shows those stages to your customer in order, and the Final price summary block closes the proposal with one line per priced block, the VAT and the final price.
  • Blocks for finance, service plans, and what is and is not included. Finance options chooser puts the finance choice in the body of the proposal rather than only in the price box. Service plan agreement shows one of your Service Plans so your customer can pick a package and a payment interval without leaving the proposal. Included / excluded list builds grouped lists of what is included, excluded or still to be confirmed, and Horizontal cards carousel puts image or video cards in a row they can scroll through.
  • Edit a template directly, and drag blocks into order. Anything on Templates opens in the proposal editor, so you can change a template without building a proposal to do it. Add a Wizard insertion point block to say where wizard-generated content should land, and the finance options and payment schedule you set on a template carry into every proposal made from it. In the editor, Reordering joins Edit, Preview and PDF — pick up blocks and drag them where you want them.

Day to day

  • Filter by more than one status at once, and sort your quotes. Statuses on Instant Quotes and Proposals are badges you switch on and off, so you can hold several at a time instead of picking one from a dropdown. Proposals filter on Draft, Published, Pending Acceptance, Accepted and Expired rather than just published and accepted, and Instant Quotes gains a sort control for updated, created, last name and first name.

Pricing and catalogue

  • Narrow your catalogue and packages to one quote tool. Hardware Catalogue and Hardware Packages both gain Solar, Battery, Heat Pump, Boiler, Air con and EV charger badges to filter on, and a sort control — by manufacturer, product name or type on the catalogue, and by name, type or when it was last touched on packages. The catalogue's Export to CSV follows whatever you have filtered and sorted to.
