Changes to the tools your customers use to build and price a quote.

A payment schedule for each finance option, and several addresses on a contact

A proposal can now carry more than one payment schedule, so the deposit and the stage split can differ depending on which finance option your customer picks. Contacts hold as many addresses as you need, each with its own map pin. The Hardware Catalogue has been rebuilt underneath: two people can work in it at the same time without overwriting each other, and deleting or archiving anything now tells you what it is used in before it goes. Two fixes are worth knowing about: the Savings step in the Heat Pump Quote Tool could fail for your customer on some accounts, and turning off a package price override did not put the calculated price back.

Undo, redo, and a roof editor that starts on your roofs

Designing a roof layout in the Solar Quote Tool and Commercial Solar Quote Tool takes fewer clicks and is easier to correct. The editor now opens zoomed to the roofs you have drawn, the draw tools stay on screen while something is selected, and you can undo a mistake instead of redrawing.

Coverage areas apply to every quote tool

The coverage areas you draw in Business Details now apply to every quote tool, not just solar, so an address outside your area is declined at the address step before a quote starts. Alongside that, the labels popup stays on screen on a narrow window, the date range picker on your Dashboard fits two calendars, and you can change who a proposal is prepared by again.

A refreshed interface, and emails sent from a team member's own address

Most of the product looks different. Text fields, dropdowns, checkboxes, buttons, address lookups and almost every popup have been rebuilt to one consistent design, across the quote tools your customers use, the proposal editor, the Installer Portal, and the forms your customers complete when they accept. Nothing has moved in the sidebar, and quoting, pricing and CRM behaviour are unchanged. Two things do change underneath the new look: your team can send proposal and quote emails from their own address, and OpenSolar imports no longer arrive without roofs.

Large commercial arrays keep their inverters and battery

Quoting a large commercial array is fixed in three places. Choosing inverters no longer times out on arrays of several hundred panels. A battery package that cannot be matched to a battery now falls back to inverters instead of quoting panels alone. And automatic battery sizing no longer comes back as zero on sites that generate far more than they use.

Stackable battery products

If you sell a battery that builds up in modules, you can now model it the way it is actually assembled. Four product types cover the parts of a stack, the package sets how many modules sit on each master, and the Solar, Commercial Solar and Battery Quote Tools size the stack to the capacity they need — adding a whole extra stack when one is not enough.

Roof editor tools that fit smaller screens

Drawing a roof away from a desktop is closer to the full experience. The action menus stack when space is tight instead of clipping their labels or covering the zoom controls, editor buttons keep their size on iPhone and iPad, and closing a roof you are part-way through drawing takes fewer attempts.

Rebuilt notification emails for quotes, proposals and service plans

The emails your team receives when a quote, proposal, or service plan agreement moves have been rebuilt. Details are grouped into labelled sections, fields with nothing in them are left out rather than printed as "Not provided", and quote notifications now say whether the quote was built by your customer or by someone in the Installer Portal. Nothing your customers receive has changed.

Set how boiler packages are sized

You now decide how the Boiler Quote Tool sizes the packages it builds. System and regular boilers are set up separately from combi boilers, and each can be sized as a percentage of the property's heat loss or from a table of heat loss bands. Hot water flow requirements for combi packages are unchanged and still apply on top of the heating sizing.

July 2026

July went to the numbers your customers see. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme oil and LPG uplift is always applied now, and solar output figures follow the panel wattage of the package your customer picks. Heat pump proposals gained a floor-plan view of which emitters change in which rooms, Proposals came out of beta, and Cal.com joined the connectors.

June 2026

June changed how you get around and how heat pump work reads. The Installer Portal and the Customer Portal both have new navigation, Theme now sets one set of colours and corner radii for every app instead of a different set per screen, and quotes and proposals can carry labels. Heat pumps got the deepest work: running-cost savings cover oil, LPG and electric heating, and an imported Spruce Eco survey builds a redrawn technical section of a proposal.

May 2026

May shortened two things that had grown long: the boiler journey your customer walks through, and the amount of hand-work in a proposal. Boiler quotes now cover the current and the new boiler in one step each, wizard imports can land in a proposal you are already editing, and the CRM connectors stopped raising records for people who have only picked a package.

April 2026

April joined quotes and proposals up. A solar, heat pump, boiler or air con quote becomes a proposal from the quote itself and brings blocks built from that quote with it, and proposals also learned to stage payments, total themselves up at the end and be reordered by dragging. The listings you work from filter harder — several statuses at once on Instant Quotes and Proposals, and by quote tool on your catalogue and packages — and Promo Codes are Discount Codes throughout, including the box your customer types into.

March 2026

March went to proposals. You can start one from instant quotes you have already produced, price it with blocks that pull hardware straight from your catalogue, and set out the property, its EPC and the grants on offer without writing any of it by hand. Acceptance moved too: every quote tool now has a single Acceptance screen in place of the old Deposit and Calendar screens.

February 2026

February adds a quote tool for boiler replacements, built the same way as the rest: your customer answers questions about their property, picks a package and leaves their details. Proposals pick up the two things that made them awkward for solar work — you can build one from an instant quote you have already run, and your customer can choose a finance option and see the repayments. Your Hardware Catalogue also learns to read products out of manufacturer datasheets.

December 2025

December is the month proposals became something you can find. Proposals now appears in the Installer Portal marked Beta, and you can build one from an Easy PV project instead of from scratch. Underneath it sit a pricing table you assemble line by line, followers so your colleagues get the notifications too, and a layout that holds up on a phone.

October 2025

October was mostly about quoting for your customer rather than waiting for them to do it themselves. You can build a quote in the Installer Portal while they are on the phone, change what they see, and send them a link with a message from the person they spoke to. Alongside that, the Solar Quote Tool started reading better roof data from the map, and Pricing Calcs arrived for the times you only need a price.

September 2025

Proposals became something you can run from end to end this month: assign one to a customer, publish it, share it, and have them accept it in their portal. Finance options moved out of each quote tool into a single list your tools draw from. The Installer Portal also picked up a new sidebar, with quotes grouped under the tool that produced them.
